Create and update
On the Dashboard
Create Preview On the dashboard click the "Create" button to create a Preview.
Update Preview If the Creative has been changed since the Preview has been created, the "Update Preview" button appears orange. Click the button to manually update the Preview.
When the preview is up to date, the update button will appear greyed out.
Note: Why is the preview not updated automatically? The manual update is an important feature to keep control over the status of the preview. Once you create a preview, you can send it to clients or colleagues for review. When you are now making changes to the Creative, you do not want the preview to show an unfinished work-in-progress state in the preview. So when you decide to publish the latest version press the "Update preview" button and only then the new preview gets published.
In the SmartBuilder
Create and update Preview In the SmartBuilder click the "Update" button to create and update a Preview.
Open Preview Click the "Open Preview" button to open the Preview in a new tab.

Mockup device
Select mockup device
Only the devices available for this format will be shown. So e.g. a "Medium Rectangle" format will offer both, mobile and desktop, while an "Interstitial" format will offer only the Mobile mockup.
Canvas
In "Canvas" mode the Creative will be shown on a neutral background without any context. This mode offers a few extra features: * Background color * Zoom * Responsive resize
Mobile
In Mobile mode the Preview shows the Creative on an interactive phone mockup. You can scroll and interact with the Creative to test the look and feel and behaviour just like on an actual mobile phone.

In Infeed mode the Preview shows the Creative on an interactive website mockup. You can scroll the website and interact with the Creative to test the look and feel and behaviour just like on an actual website.

Preview on mobile
Preview on a real phone
To preview the Creative on a real phone scan the QR Code with your phone and open the link. This will open the preview on your phone. If the format is infeed, the preview will be shown as an interactive mockup webpage so that the behaviour can be tested in context.

Timeline controls
Timeline
Note: Some timeline controls are available in canvas mode only.
Use the timeline UI to control the animation of your Creative.
Play/Pause Toggle between play and pause. You can halt and resume at any time to investigate all details of the animation.
Restart Restarts the animation from the beginning.
Timeline Switch back and force in time.
Current time Shows the current running time of the Creative.
Loop Toggle looping to chose if the Creative stops or restarts at the end of the timeline.

Responsive size
Real-time Responsive Preview
If responsive behaviour is enabled for the Creative, this will be shown in the Creative info and the preview will feature controls to change the responsive size in real-time.
Adjust size Use the handles to set the Creative to any size. The repsonsive behaviour is being applied in real-time.
Current size The current size of the Creative is shown below the Preview.
Reset Press the "Reset" icon next to the "Current size" to reset the size to default.

Creative info
The Creative info panel shows all important information about the Creative.
Fallback image
Shows the Fallback image of the Creative.
QR Code
Use the QR Code to preview on a real phone. Scan the code directly or hover over the code to show a larger code for easier scanning.
For easy sharing of the QR Code click on the image to download as a PNG image.
Creative info
Format The Creative Format, like Hotspots, Image FX, 3D Poster etc. Formats created in PrimoStudio will appear as "Custom".
Placement The placement type, like Interstitial, Infeed, Underscroller etc. defines how the Creative is placed on the publisher's webpage.
IAB Format Shows the name and resolution of the IAB Format, like Interstitital, Medium Rectangle, Leaderboard etc.
Non-IAB-standard formats appear as "Custom".
Devices Lists the enabled device(s) (Mobile or Desktop). The devices result from Placement and IAB Format.
Weight Shows the approximate weight (the size in kB) of the Creative. If the weight acceeds the "Max weight", it is highlighted in orange. The max weight for Standard Creatives is 750kB, for Creatives with Video it is 2.5MB.
Last update Shows when the Preview was updated last.
Features
Video Shows if the Creative includes a video. Responsive Shows if the Responsive behaviour is enabled. Scroll2Animate Shows if the "Scroll2Animate" special behaviour is enabled. DynScript Shows if DynScript is enabled. Feed Shows if a Feed is enabled.
